South African Chris Morris has made history in the IPL auction. The 33-year-old Morris was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 16.25 crore. He has become the most expensive player in IPL history.

He became the most buy ever in IPL history after Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj was bought by Delhi Daredevils in 2015 for 16 crores. Also, it has become the highest paid player in the IPL after Virat Kohli.
RCB’s Virat’s salary is 17 crores. Morris kept his base price at 7.5 million in the auction. Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore also bid to buy Morris, but Rajasthan eventually won.
