The ongoing Weekend curfew is evacuated along with many restrictions as the Covid cases graph decreased in Delhi. In the recent DDMA meeting, the odd-even rule of shops, restrictions on restaurant dining are also removed.
Strict restrictions were imposed on December 27 after the positivity rate increased in Delhi. In the last few days, the positivity rate of the capital has come down to around 10 percent. In such a situation, the government has given relief to the people from the restrictions. However, the Covid protocol will have to be followed in which general rules like masking, no crowding and night curfew will be applicable.
Apart from this, a maximum of 200 people or 50 percent capacity of the venue will be able to attend the wedding ceremony in Delhi. Even in the bar, 50 percent people will be able to sit and drink alcohol. In government offices also 50 percent of the employees will be called. A few days ago, Health Minister Satyendar Jain had said that restrictions will be relaxed as soon as the positivity rate comes down.
Earlier, 7,498 new corona infected were found in Delhi on Wednesday. 29 people also died. However, the positivity rate of the capital, which had reached above 20 percent, has now come down to 10.59 percent. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also wrote a letter to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal regarding the removal of restrictions.
